'Adult Student:
Diane\'s generosity, warmth, humor, ability to improvise, and marvelous attitude really set the tone for the workshop and was, in my opinion, integral to its success. Diane made everyone feel welcome, laughed at the imperfections, and reminded us that art is always a process. I learned a lot at the workshop and came away energized and enthused. I look forward to sharing what I have learned with my students and hopefully helping them find their \"monotype voices\".

-H. Brainerd Piedmont, H.S. Art teacher',

'School Administrator:
I thought the Self-Portrait Lesson was very effective. Students followed the lesson, and were very active listeners. They followed directions about repeating the sketching process three times, and they were careful to place their features on their faces as Diane instructed. They caught on right away to the proper procedures for use of watercolors. They took their time and really enjoyed themselves. It was fascinating to watch how their creations took shape, and the final results were amazing. The class enjoyed this lesson very much, and the portrait results are fabulous. They are hanging up in our room, along with the wonderful portrait creations from the last lesson. Diane does a very good job working with students, and they are enjoying her every Wednesday.

-Mrs. Wallis, 2nd grade teacher at Salvador Elementary School 2008',
